Members Green
I have a trip planned in mid May with the wife to go to the Great Smoky Mountains. Staying near Gaitlinburg. Anyone have any good recommendations on places to fish? Trying to get a native brook trout above anything else. So far in my research I've found Lynn Camp Prong would be productive. Also looking online on their forum found a couple prongs on the Little River. Any first hand advice would be welcome! Thanks, Matt brittsnbirds
ness
Fished GSMNP once in 2009, so I'm certainly not an expert. It was a 2-day stopover on our way to South Carolina. But...the word I got at the time was to go higher up to get to the brookies. Green 1 John
brittsnbirds
I'm so envious of you!! We pulled our 5th wheel out from KC Mo in Mid-April. Trip was a family visit in Asheville and my son in Winston-Salem. We camped at Pisgah National Park outside of Asheville. Very beautiful campground and location. Wondered about the fishing but didn't get a chance to check it out. Will be watching this post for an education as I will be returning some day to try it!!
ScottK
My wife and I are going back there the end of May(staying in Bryson City this time). 2 years ago we stayed outside of Gatlinburg and I liked the access from Greenbrier rd. east of town about 5 mins. Crowds were nonexistent there, maybe saw 3 other fishermen. Smoky Mountain Angler fly shop in town will hook you up with a good map(free) and mark some spots for you on it. Have fun! ness
We stayed at Townsend, TN. I used a guide named Tim Doyle that was really good and also entertaining. John

Ryan Walker
Check this site out: http://www.flyfishingsmokymountains.com/ I was there two years ago with a couple of buddies that live close. I'll get names of creeks we fished for you and post them tomorrow. Green

ruthead
Just found this post and was wondering how your trip went. My son just started guiding out there a couple weeks ago. Really cool as I get new fishin reports with a phone call every evening!
