Hammer time Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Put in at Mutton at 9:30 and started bass fishing in spawning pockets with c-rig lizard, caught 23 with 9 keeps. Still can't get any real quality, mainly bucks. Fished deeper today kept boat in 30plus fow but still caught a lot of bucks. Had 1 keeper eye eat the lizard. Swiched over to crappie last 2 hours and found a few pods suspended in 8-12 over 25 fow on points leading into spawning pockets. Ended with 13 keeps only 2shorts a keeper eye, several white bass, largemouth, brownies and a big drum. Water temperature was 59.4-62.8. Had a blast, hardly anyone fishing the area I was fishing. Stayed between monkey island and point 5 area. Tight lines and CPR slab slinger, blacknoseddace, dan hufferd and 2 others 5
slab slinger Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Great report hammer. Awsome day on the water. Glad to see some males still in spawn colors. Was on Truman all last weekend. I'm ready to get back out on Stockton.
Hammer time Posted May 3, 2016 Author Posted May 3, 2016 Second wave of crappie are getting ready. Hopefully you hooked em on Truman.
