ramman123 Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Just curious if anyone fish this lil conservation lake
ollie Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 I have a few times. Never scored anything big out of there, but I'm sure there are some nice ones in there. They are doing a yak fishing tournament on it very soon. It's just a little further away from me than I like. ramman123 Posted May 3, 2016 Author Posted May 3, 2016 ya im fishing the yak tournament and its 2 hours from my house, just curious if anyone on here fished it
Moswimb8slinger Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I was telling the guys it looks like a good old MO pond, so I'll fish it like a pond. White or green pumpkin colored Spinnerbaits and swimjigs, buzzbaits, hollow body frogs, super shallow diving/wake squarebill crank, swim an 8" red shad colored Powerbait ribbon tail worm- Texas rigged, etc. The bass might be spawned out by the time the tournament rolls around.
ollie Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I fished Shawnee Trails a couple of weeks ago and they were on the beds then so I would think the spawn is over on Bushwacker as well. Big MO pond with a LOT of timber in it. Be careful of the wind blowing as well. You cannot escape it either no matter where you are on the lake.
