sandbc Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 brother and i fished all day saturday and had a hard time finding any crappie. only had 5 keepers by noon when we got checked by the game wardens. the best thing about that is they said we were doing better than anyone they had checked..maybe they just got started i dont know. we ended up hitting a spot just before we quit and got 6 more nice ones. all total was 2 males and 9 females so full of eggs they were about to explode. minnows only. wouldnt look at a jig. beautiful day on the water though. Hammer time 1
Ranger520vx Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Brother in law and I went out Saturday morning about 7 and had our limit by 9:30 all on jigs. Mostly 10 to 12 inch females all full of eggs. Bite was really light. Everything came off of brush piles in 16 to 25 fow. Went out Sunday morning everything was the same but took an hour or so longer to get our limits. Tight lines to y'all
shockley32 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Things changed drastically from Thursday to Friday/Saturday. The fish were still on the brush in 14-18 fow, however instead of catching 10-15 per pile it was like 2 or 3. We did find a few piles with active fish and caught several which really saved our trip! We ended Saturday with 30, most were very good fish, however they were all whites and did not weigh what we needed them to. Stacy, if your brother is done working you like a slave we need to get together and go! Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
