MObassin95 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 So today I went to the Finley River for about an hour to check it out. It looks like it would be bass heaven, with all the lily pads and such. However, I only caught one bass. I'd like to give it a shot tomorrow and use my kick boat to fish the other side. I'm just wondering if that side is better or not. I feel like the side the park is on gets a lot of pressure and in hoping the other side will produce alittle more. So if anyone has fished it recently, it would be awesome if you could give me some insight. Thanks!
tho1mas Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 The west side (left side going upstream) is the deep side. There are a few docks that you can fish for a couple hundred yards. Might be a good place to try the Ned Rig. After that, a riffle, then another deeper hole with a bunch of downed trees. Used to be pretty good for lm bass there. This may have all changed after the winter flood (haven't been this year). Could also try for crappie down by the dam. Good luck.
MObassin95 Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 Yeah went back with a couple buddies on the park side and we caught about four. This is the biggest I caught. Also, I'm not stoned I swear.
