Hammer time Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Put in at 10am to good stain and 72.1 water temperature. Went up River and was slow rolling war eagle tandem 1/2 oz blade on channel banks in buck brush. Caught several all shorts and 1 short eye. Decided to head down to swings and bluffs with deeper water close by and game on! 3/8 oz fb jig in black/purple with black/blue rage craw trailer. Had over 30 fish and 1 slab crappie and 1 keeper eye. Those eyes will eat anything! Stayed on same type banks down to Birch and back(water got much clearer and 78.2 temp) at Birch. Ended up with only 6 keeps but had a blast, several back to back cast and at times though I'd get bit on every cast. Fish were in 2-10fow Tight lines and CPR waterpossum, Skeeter ZX190, zarraspook and 2 others 5
Members Nimrod Nick Posted June 4, 2016 Members Posted June 4, 2016 Thanks for the report, spfd cove to birch has always been a great area for me especially using a jig & a spinnerbait.
