got out early by 5:30 this morning. Had a good top water bite on spots and whites on the up side of 12 bridge and north end of the sandbar. caught them on a whopper popper #90. Whites are running large for me this spring but have a hard time getting more than one in a spot. They would surface for 30 seconds and be gone. Happened about 8 times. Tried spooning them but no luck. Trolled Bear island and got 3 14" bass on chrome flicker shad. 30 fow 1.5 mph. Saw zero shad balls. In at 9. Anybody fishing?

Bill I haven't been sense last week.... I was on the Kings river last weekend and fished a bunch and camped.   I came home and had what felt like a sinus infection... So I took this week off to get better.  I'm a lot better now but with kids out of school they want to go swimming/tubing so that's what I did today.  I'll be back to fishing next week for sure.  There's no way I'm getting out a 530 am though.  More like pm for me. Lol.  I'm sure the bite is a lot better then but I just can't drag myself out of bed that early. Thanks for the report though. Nice to know fish r biting, even if it's before I can't get up lol.
