Forsythian Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 I believe my 12 year-old would rather spend the day at Roaring River than Disney World... so I'd like to bring the pop-up camper down for a day or two the week of March 19th. I'm guessing the campground is pretty full on opening month, but I figure I've got a good chance if I show on a Sunday evening? or a Monday? Whatdya say Barry County? Cenosillicaphobiac
Steve Smith Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 You can make camping reservations ahead by calling 1-877-422-6766 in Roaring River Park. It hard to say on open spots, since the weather has been cold. However, this latest warm-up may have changed that. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
Dutch Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 If you can't get a site there, I am sure there will be plenty at Eagle Rock and the drive is only a few miles.
chub minnow Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 There are also many primitive sites just off of highway 112 in the National Forest. If you have a pop-up, some of these have nice views and are 5 minutes from the park.
Forsythian Posted March 13, 2007 Author Posted March 13, 2007 I wound up making an online reservation in the park itself... I tell ya, the campground is about booked up in the middle of the week! I wouldn't doubt if it's not full, even on a Wednesday night in March. crazy Cenosillicaphobiac
