I thought morning would be better

I took a guy Thurs back to Stockton.  We went early because of predicted heat.  Bass wouldn't even look at a buzz bait.  We caught a few on square bills and lipless cranks.  Pard lost a real good one and we missed a few on cranks.

The best bait of the day was a slow rolled spinner bait.  Both basics like chartreuse and really flashy baits worked.  We wound up catching 30 with only 4 skinny keepers.

I'm off to Pommy to try my luck nextweek.
