Justin92297 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Later this week I will be fishing the lower osage from the mari-osa access near Jeff City. I have never fished this part of the river before, but am very familiar with the upper part near the dam. My question is how does this part of the river differ and does it fish any different from the rest?
Seth Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 What are you targeting? IMO, the MariOsa sucks compared to anything above St. Thomas outside of the cold months. That's for bass and crappie. I'm not real sure about catfish as I haven't really targeted them there before.

Sorry I should have mentioned I am targeting bass. it will be a tournament so I have to launch at this access
Drbucketmouth57 Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 This happened 9-27-16 on the lower section of the Osage!

That's an awesome fish, but I doubt they are having a hybrid tournament. After seeing what the water level at St Thomas was yesterday, it's no surprise that you caught some hybrids. They always kill the water by the time the weekend rolls around. I'm gonna have to leave work early one of these days when the water conditions look promising and get in on some fall hybrid action.
