Members line wetter Posted October 28, 2016 Members Posted October 28, 2016 One of the nice things about being retired is able to pick the best days top go. Like yesterday when the lake was glass smooth all day. Caught 7 very nice keeper crappie and one keeper walleye. all on green jigs in 24 fow. Could not keep count of all the small crappie I caught. This has been going on for several months. Lots of small crappie and a few keepers the keepers have been good 11 1/2 to 14 inches. seems like there is a year class that had a horrible spawn. While I caught a lot of 10 to 10 1/2 inchers this spring it seems like they are all gone now. anyone else noticing the same thing? For the bass guys, threw spinner bait early and had a few short bass. usually the spinner bait bite is good by now but water temp is still 67 - 68 and that bite is better around 60. Johnsfolly, Brad N Steph, ewlech and 3 others 6
Members strat278 Posted October 31, 2016 Members Posted October 31, 2016 had some nice keepers this weekend, lot of shorts in the 6 to 8 inch range, but did get into some right at 10 inchers also didn't keep them, they should be good keepers by next spring
Members ric lee Posted October 31, 2016 Members Posted October 31, 2016 Fished about a month ago near State Park Marina. Caught lots of crappie but only 1 keeper to 10-15 shorts. Lots of fish in the 9 inch range so may be a good harvest next year.
