I thought I would get out and run some brooders shallow on planner boards, so stopped at HL&S and picked some up. Got to PC and could not even get to the ramp. Seems a junior bass tournament was going on and they not only clogged the ramp with boats coming in but parked SUVs around the parking lot so no one could get in to use the ramp. They were using the entire parking lot from the pavilion past the restrooms.Has got to be the rudest group I have ever encountered. I tried to turn around and two people guiding me forward and two yelling at me to back up...all I wanted was to get away from them and the lake.

I thought about running up to Rocky Branch but after seeing the number of wake boats running out of PC, I just dumped the bait and headed for the house.

I won't try another weekend run until the highs are in the low 40s and lows well below freezing. I would much rather fish in the 20s than go through that mess again.

Man, that sucks. I am also ready for the cold weather so the lake will belong to the fisherman again!! Any idea what club it was?

One 32,000 acre lake and everyone owns it.  So much more traffic in the last 2yrs than I've ever seen.

Must explain my bitterness lately.

It was a teen tournament but not sure who was hosting but wish I had known before pulling in there. Seemed they expected to have the entire parking lot themselves. I have no problem with that, just wish they would have told me at the gate house so I could have turned around.

Went out today for first time in a long time. There were quite a few boats out, more ski boats than I expected to see. They didn't bother me too much tho. It sure was a nice day for being the end of October. I trolled flicker shads for a few hours near PC without a single bite. I have very little trolling experience so I wasn't too upset about it. Mostly a trip to get used to the new boat and play around with the graphs and trolling motor. Would have been nice to catch a few but overall it was a good time

Don't know why my comments keep getting ran down by you but I think you know what I mean when I said 'belong to the fisherman again'. During the winter, when it's nice and cold out, there are no jet skis, wake boarders or ski boats. It's just us fisherman.

Geez..first I get ripped for giving a report that the crappie were biting, now this. You need to get out and rip some lips to get you back in the state of mind.

Mike I'm sorry.  You totally misunderstand me. Not ripping you in any way. Not intentionally anyway.  My apologies.

I was commenting (didn't quote Stumpbumper) on Stumps overall experience and how bad it was.  Anglers should never be rude to each other.  I've had several run ins on the water those year alone.  Won't go into details here. I've just seen a lot of stuff I have not seen before.

I'm also getting older and I'm just grumpier lately I guess.  I've also seen where over sharing of information has caused a lot more harm than good. Before Feathersnfins, this forum was relatively quiet.  Then sharing tons of info came into play. Then articles about trolling.  Now everyone and their grandmother is dragging a flickershad these days.  I've seen how that's hurt fishing for others. The lake the last two years has seen record numbers in boat traffic and  cigarette boat traffic especially.

I'm sure folks think I'm grumpy. That's fine. I am.

Sorry about that..thought I had rubbed you the wrong way!!  I know some folks that run a kids high school deal and was going to ask them if they knew who was at the ramp...it's a shame that the younger generation of fisherman want to act that way!!  J-doc, would love to have you join me this winter when the bass start chewin' real good!!

I would be glad to go. Thanks for the invite.

I am not that great at bass fishing. Maybe I'll learn a few things.
