Ealy Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Does anyone on here fish for bass on Taneycomo? What is it like this time of year on the lower end around Rockaway--water temps, etc... Thanks in advance.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 8, 2006 Root Admin Posted January 8, 2006 Well- some of our tournament guys today caught blacks in the Branson area on jigs while trying to catch trout. One measured 16 inches weighed 3.5 lbs. The team asked me where they could go bass fishing on Taney and I said from Branson downstream- I guess- seeing what they did today. Taney has some humungas bass, as you know. Welcome- we need more Table Rock guys to report on the forum.
Bill Butts Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Hello Fishheads! My name is Jeremy Ealy, I live in Nixa, MO, and I have a fishing habit I just can't shake. Most weekends I can be found bass fishing on Table Rock. I am a member of Ozark Mountain Bassmasters---a Bass Federation Club with members from the Springfield area. We fish monthly tournaments, mostly Table Rock, Stockton, and Pomme. We occasionally go to LOZ and Truman. I am also a member of Central Pro Am, and fish on the amateur side. When I'm not bass fishing I love to pick up an ultralite for crappie and whites. I just recently stumbled onto this site and I enjoy it (there isn't much fish talk going on over at MWBT, mostly arguing). Does anyone on here fish for bass on Taneycomo? What is it like this time of year on the lower end around Rockaway--water temps, etc... Thanks in advance. Ealy, Welcome to the Forum! Question....what is MWBT and why is there so much arguing going on? I believe you will find enthusiam and respect from the vast majority of participants here. Ealy Posted January 10, 2006 Author Posted January 10, 2006 Ealy, Welcome to the Forum! Question....what is MWBT and why is there so much arguing going on? I believe you will find enthusiam and respect from the vast majority of participants here. MWBT.com is a great website with local (missouri, arkansas, illinois) fishing info. They also have a message board. There is a lot of arguing and trash talk due to the fact that you don't have to post your name. The guys that post with their real names get attacked by anonymous posters.
MTM Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 EALY- You might go on that other board and tell them that a law was signed and it is illegal to post and harass people under a false name. Or to e-mail them under a false name. Not sure about the whole thing but I do know that you can get a big fine and jail time for doing it. Bush signed it into law this last week. I kind of think it is a good idea as I have a friend that was sent 2 e-mails with false names on them saying they would kill his family and all because he didn't agree with someone on a thread. I think maybe it is time for people to start to be up front and a little kinder to each other. Just my two cent's Ron
