11-20-16 Bass fishing

I put in around 10:00 Sunday morning at State Park.  Fished several areas with out much luck, caught some shorts on shaky head, spinner bait and wart.  The bight starting getting better around 1:30 I starting catching them on the windy banks using a square bill.  I caught a mix of whites and black.  Most of the fish I was catching were right on the bank in 2-3 feet of water.  Even the blacks.  I ended up with 25-30 total about 10 of those being big whites.  I caught 7 keeper blacks nothing very big 16.5 was the biggest black.  It was a nice afternoon very few boats on the lake.  I probably didn't see 6 other boats all day.  It's nice to have things all to yourself that doesn't happen very often on the weekends.  The water temp was running 57-59.  Everybody have a great holidays and don't bother going fishing.

Nice red shad   Did you fish main lake any ?

Hey Dprice.  I didn't make it down to the main lake. I fished just a couple miles down form state park up to just past the 245 bridge.

I am hoping for a post turkey day trip. We will have to see how it goes, thank for the info.
