Kayser Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Due to funding issues, the only USGS stream gauges on the Big Piney and Roubidoux Creek will be discontinued in 2017. There will be a public meeting held 12/12 from 2-4pm in the Waynesville municipal center. I found out in an email this morning, and thought I'd share it here. WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.
moguy1973 Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 I know this has been discussed in the past, but what sort of money needs to go into these things that requires them to be shut down? I'd assume the maintenance on the gauges themselves would be minimal once they are installed, which these are, and the data stream to the website and to USGS can't be that much. Nevermind. I see it in the other thread. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
