Terry Beeson Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Joe uses a Richardson chest fly box (click here) He can carry a TON of flies in that thing with all kinds of variations to "match the hatch" down to the size and color. It looks "bulky" to me, but Joe sure swears by it. OH... and I'm certain he uses the "Joe Humphreys" series box... Steve Smith Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 It is really very comfortable. I was having shoulder problems, especially when wearing a standard vest. I tried to really lighten the vest up, but it didn't help. I finally choked up the bucks and bought a Richardson Chest Box. I was so impressed with it, I bought another for warm water patterns [smallies] and never looked back. Tim's Fly Shop at Roaring River carries them, and usually has several in stock. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
Terry Beeson Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Yep... Tim does use one as a matter of fact... Which model do you have, Steve? The weight of the empties range from 6 oz to less than 2 lb (30 oz) so they are not that heavy at all. And the design makes them easy to wear. The few guys that I know that have them swear by them... Greg Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Did anyone else pick up on the fact that one of the rods Joe Humphreys was using was sporting a pflueger medalist reel? I thought that was kind of interesting. Greg "My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it" - Koos Brandt Greg Mitchell
