Stump bumper Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I think we need to rename that tournament, seems to be to good of weather last few years. Well who is fishing? Spoon bite has been great but there will be too much wind on Sunday. I think the crankbait, spinnerbaits will rule this one. Mike jones 1
Mike jones Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 We will be there. Should be a good turn out with the mild weather. We got on a little deal a couple days ago that nobody would think to do..just hope it holds up. And looks like we will be weighing fish in the dark. Weigh-in starts at 4!!
Quillback Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I won't be going, but will be interested to hear the results. Good luck to ya'll that are going!
jeb Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I'd bet WW's and RC's will play a big part, if it's windy. I'll be working a different charity event, so won't be there. Hope y'all catch a big sack! John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha

I tried to go out and catch those deep fish like you had been doing but all I did was hang up an a-rig and a spoon in a tree!!!

You are jerking the spoon too hard if you bury the hooks in the wood that deep, a 3/4 or 1 oz spoon will unhook itself.
Members bc23champ Posted December 30, 2016 Members Posted December 30, 2016 I'll be fishin it. Should be a good day. Windy cloudy. Pre front. Lookin forward to it
Guest Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Can somebody post the results today? Water temps, patterns, etc

Water temps, patterns, etc Water temps were 46-48 from prairie to Hickory creek. It sucked for us..couldn't get the wart or jerkbait bite going. We had a few small keepers on the a-rig, threw them back in the lake and went home. A friend did finish 2nd with 18.86. Don't know what it took to win. And yes, that is a 5 fish limit!!!!
Guest Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 thanks, that's not what I was expecting. So I might fish down by the darn tomorrow
