Members Patricks on the White Posted March 21, 2007 Members Posted March 21, 2007 I've got two girls that I hang with that love to swim in any weather condition. They wear no clothes, love to romp and play unrelentlessly and will steal fish from anyone nearby. Privacy is of utmost importance to me since I don't want to disturb others. My friend, Dale Fulton, sent us to Cartney walk in a few months ago. Theres gravel as far as you can see, appears totally void of trout; I guess trout fishermen prefer water that appear to hold fish. I've only shared this spot with other fishermen once. Perfect! My Labs love it. Thanks Dale. Patricks
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 21, 2007 Root Admin Posted March 21, 2007 Patricks... if I didn't know better, this sounds like a spam email, but there's no links!! Maybe you just dreamed this.
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I'm bet'in the "girls" are his labs! Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 21, 2007 Root Admin Posted March 21, 2007 Oppp... it's way too early in the am for me... I totally didn't see the labs at the end.
Members Patricks on the White Posted March 21, 2007 Author Members Posted March 21, 2007 Phil: You're right, its early. Takes me a pot of coffee to read and digest anything. Heading to Branson next week for a day, any suggestions on where to wade, water permitting. Same flies as here on the White? Pat Brennan
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 21, 2007 Root Admin Posted March 21, 2007 Soft hackles if it's breezy- working excellent. Black #18 are perfect but try others just for the fun of it. They hit hard and you miss a bunch and even pop some off. Also have a variety of scuds on hand. They are liking the bigger ones it seems- #16's and even a #14. And of course have some zebra midges too. Lots of rainbows below the dam... and all over really. Hope you can drop by the shop. Phil
Gary Lange Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I knew he was talking about a couple dogs half way thru the read. Them Labs do love the water and love to play. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!
Terry Beeson Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Come to Patrick's on the White and see the girls skinny dipping in the White River! Patrick, you're a marketing genius!! TIGHT LINES, YA'LL "There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." - Paul O’Neil
Al Agnew Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Yep, if they were actually girl humans, I would have questioned their sanity or admired their fortitude for skinny-dipping in the White River...that water is COLD!
SilverMallard Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Dale sent you to a fishless wade-in? I didn't think Dale could FIND a place with no fish, let alone remember how to get back to it.
