The weather looks perfect for chasing stripers. I hope most people are too busy planning parties picking up ice ect to hit the lake. To all those with my phone number I will hit the lake around 10am looking for shad. Give me a text if you are out and we can share if either one gets too many.

Been a while since I have been able to escape work so any PMs about where there are any stripers hanging tight would be greatly appreciated though I know I have not had much to share lately.

I really hope no one has a bass tournament, low winds look like a possibility of top water action if boats don't run them to the bottom. I have a wopper popper tied on that has yet to be cast into a surfacing school.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news man but the winter series champonship is this weekend...Saturday and Sunday. I don't know how many boats they will have. Maybe 40 or so..just a guess. I'll be out there trying to get keyed in on what the bass are doing.  Good luck chasing the stripers!

Thanks for the info, there goes there goes the top water bite until after weigh in. At least it isn't a 100 and wake boats, I guess they are launching out of PC also.

Last time I saw really good top water action I ran through it myself, then turned around and tried to sneak up on them, they never came back up. I just hope they give me room to run some boards. Winter fishermen are usually better educated than the fair weather guys.
