A friend has a 1990 Johnson GT 150 it runs but is rough with weak fire at all plugs. The stator is putting out 234 volts with dva meter when unhooked from power pack but jumps all over the place from 10 to 100 volts when hooked up. The stator has epoxy melting out of all 3 ignition coils, charging system and tach work fine. Thanks for any help.

Also voltage from pack to all 6 coils is low and all over the place. Could stator be in specs unhooked then start dropping out when under a load hooked to the pack or would the pack be bad? Have all the tests for the stator and trigger but is there any way to test the pack?
