likinmo Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Took the wife, daughter, and daughters BF. Put in at Mccubbins point . Waters low. We went up there to bass fish but I brought 4 spinning rods and some crappie jigs just in case the bass werent biting. And they were not for us . Was using the A-rig, jerkbait, crankbait and a underspin swimbait and main lake points and secondary points and had no luck at all getting bit. Did that thing for about 2 hours and nothing. I found a brush pile on a secondary point in 12 ft of water and put on a black and chart bobby garland on a 16th oz pink headed jig and got bit by a crappie on the first dip. the crappie were in the tops of the brush all day. In about 5-7 ft of water we never had to reel just dip the jig. I was using a chart nibblet on the jig as well. Tried other colors but the best bite was black and chart definately...Hope this helps MOsmallies and Seth 2
