If you can read this thank a teacher. And since it is english thank a soldier!

I start with these on my rigs:

Original wigglewart in brown or green crawfish.(Caught 22 in four hours out of Holiday Island 3/22 afternoon, but only 3 legal)

Slow roll spinner bait in white or black (In several recent years I've had very good luck on retrieves parallel to the bank moving the bait just fast enough to turn the blade and tick the bottom)

A Smoke grub

Short (4 or 5") watermelon, purple, or black worm on a slider jig.

A very expensive, custom painted jerk bait. (I can't catch anything with them, but others claim they do. Besides it makes me look like I am in the know.)

If I rig one more rod, I add a jig/pig either in PBJ or brown/green.

I wish you the best of luck.

Rig-01

Depending on the section of H20 I'm fishing at the Knob. The warts in phantom green, or the old v37 or v38 for way up the White or in the Kings.

Would also rig either a hula grub or a jig for the same locations. Any wind and the spinner bug would also be a good idea.

Main lake the bite is still on the suspender, but I have heard of a few fish starting to chase. You might keep a spoon or a spook tied on for some long range bombardment, if you see the surface activity.

Your rig is also never a bad way to work a section closly if you have had a nip or two. Good Luck

Seek the wind young man, Seek the wind. A wise fisherman told be this and I believe it too be true.

I've been fishing the mid-Kings all week. It's amazing how the water is warming up so quickly. The bass are starting to move into shallow water. For my top 5, I'd use 1. a wiggle wart in bluegill colors, 2. a slug-go and throw it up around any shallow cover 3. a spinnerbait in white with a fairly large silver willowleaf blade, 4. a blue-black jig-and-craw out a little deeper for bigger fish and 5. a clown Rogue in the clearer water.

I found 60 degree water this evening and lots of fish were right on the bank and in the backs of coves and pockets. Lots of good action and good quality, too. This is a great time for a big fish. This weekend should be great, although there will be lots of boats on the lake. Good luck, knobbass
