Your instructions worked. The only inconvenience is that the USB port on the camera is inside the battery/memory card cover. The USB cord will push in the memory card but not far enough and the camera would not power on. I then pressed the card with my finger and the camera would turn on.

see , what most folks dont realize is when you connect your camera to

a pc, windows recognizes it as a new drive! you really dont need to use some fancy program to download your pics.

might not be recognizable if you take them in RAW though.

not real sure about that. but JPEGs, yup. and then if you wish,you can import them into post processing programs.
