Members Alumacraft190 Posted March 10, 2017 Members Posted March 10, 2017 I know water temps were pushing 60 prior to the rains. Anyone think these rains will work one way or another towards pushing the striper down into the main lake or towards the bridge/prairie creek areas? Last year was probably the extreme, but end of March we limited at Blackburn area so I'm wondering if thats going to be the ticket for us again in 2 weeks when we come. Without the rains I was anticipating point 12 area, but maybe the rain wont impact it either way.
Stump bumper Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 They will run out of dirty water and try to stay in the 50 degree water but the small males will stay on the shad in the shallows longer than the bigger fish. I am hoping to see a return to Prairie Creek also. But I would not look for them on the weekend, the boat traffic runs them out early.
Guest Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I used to hate the mud like most other bass fisherman. Now I've learned to embrace the mud. Long live the firetiger crankbait!
Guest Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I found the mud, its almost to point 12. If we get enough rain tomorrow, it will get to HC.
