Members Z225Skeeter Posted March 14, 2017 Members Posted March 14, 2017 Is there any bass reports on Pomme? I am going to fish this weekend and wanted to see what part of the lake was better right now. There were some good fish weighed in Sunday at the Reeves Brothers Tournament. Any reports on this too? Any info would be helpful.
DChance Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 not sure about the tournament but right now I would say the A-Rig is king. Followed by a stickbait. I would stay around the lower end and fish the wind on main lake and secondary points. be sure to check out the last deep water in the backs with a jig.
shrapnel Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Tourney in much better weather a couple weeks ago didn't take much to win - 15lbs or so I think. Water temps will crash this week.
Ranger520vx Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Reeves Bros. winning weight was 26 lb 13 oz. With big bass of 6lb. 13 oz. The tournament 2 weeks ago took 19 to win and 18 to be in the money with big bass of 6.45 lbs.
Members Conman64 Posted March 14, 2017 Members Posted March 14, 2017 Pretty impressive. 17 teams and 18lbs didn't get a check. Members Z225Skeeter Posted March 14, 2017 Author Members Posted March 14, 2017 Thanks for the info. That's some impressive bags of fish. Has anyone been on the lake recently and have any reports on bass? I was planning on fishing Saturday and or Sunday and wondering which part of the lake I should start on?
Ranger520vx Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I hope to get out tomorrow or Friday if I do will let you know what I do or don't find out.
shrapnel Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Hill and Edwards are good sticks, tough to beat on Pomme, been fishing it forever. Good guys too. Fished against them a lot 20 years ago down there. CD7 1
Members scott_reb Posted March 16, 2017 Members Posted March 16, 2017 I miss fishing Pomme its my favorite lake.
Ranger520vx Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Went out for a few hours this afternoon. Think the cold front hurt some, only caught 3 small keeper bass. Water temp ran between 47 and 50 which was actually warmer than I thought it would be.
