Hammer time Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Thinking about putting in at Cedar Ridge tomorrow and was curious if ramp was open and any current water temps in Highpoint, Aldrich area? Thanks in advance for any feedback!
redshad Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I was up that way Sunday and temps were running 51 to 52 in that area. I didn't catch much up there water starts getting dirty where you head up river past High Point. Hammer time 1
redshad Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I heard that one guy had some luck snagging them with a shaky head.
Members JRay Posted March 14, 2017 Members Posted March 14, 2017 The Camper's Point ramp is the only one open. There is no sign at the cove ramp, but the gate is closed. I believe the sign at the Attendant hut said that ramp would be available for all to use until April 15th Hammer time 1
Lifes2Short Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Hammer, I'm thinking of going out of Mutton tomorrow, care to meet me? I plan on launching around 10ish.
Members audiochem Posted March 15, 2017 Members Posted March 15, 2017 The ramp is technically closed, but people still use it. I need a little bit more water to get my boat to float, so I don't use it. I don't want to run off the end of the ramp and be sitting on the axle. Fishing in the High Point area on Friday was great. All my big fish came on finesse worm, but the numbers came on crank baits. Not sure how much the cold front changed things. I will be going back this Friday. Good luck! Hammer time 1

I've decided to put in at CC around 9 am. Will gladly meet you at the swimming beach at Ruark at 1pm and compare notes. My phone has vertually no reception until mile long bridge area. So I'll be there at one, white and red nitro. Hope to see you there. Good luck tomorrow!
