Let me preface this by saying that I haven't been to Aldrich in a while! Ok disclaimer out of the way, does anyone know if you can get to the mouth of the river from Aldrich in a boat other than a flat bottom right now? I know the water is extremely low and it isn't that deep all the way across that flat to begin with! Just curious if anyone has tried it recently and what their success/failure amounted to. The second part of this post, has anyone been catching any real numbers of whites around Aldrich maybe from the bridge downlake? Any reports from that area would be greatly appreciated!

I haven't been in 2-3 weeks but when I was there last time we could not get past the old bridge pillars in a small boat with a short shaft 3 hp johnson. Didn't get stuck but certainly were churning lots of mud. I think a flatbottom with a jet, kayak, or canoe are your only options at this point. That being said the lake is nearly identical level now, maybe couple inches lower even. I can't personally comment on the bite near there since I haven't been but some friends caught about 65% of a limit Saturday and went back yesterday and caught only one keeper. Still early enough that things haven't been consistent. At least not for those guys in that area. Perhaps other people have had different luck.

Well that's more info than I had! I appreciate your response. I would hate to get up there and be really disappointed! I may go up there Saturday and see what's going on. If I do I'll post my results on this thread.

I was up there a couple weekends ago and couldn't get far past bridge in my little 14' aluminum boat. Water level was about 2 1/2 foot deep past bridge
