Members Jeff_L Posted May 9, 2017 Members Posted May 9, 2017 The bridge names are confusing to those of us who aren't there a lot. Does Blair Bridge have a different name? Is it gone? Thanks.
Members Jeff_L Posted May 9, 2017 Members Posted May 9, 2017 I have a group that is supposed to be floating Hebron to Blair Bridge (using Twin Bridges) next weekend. Any thoughts on whether that is possible / dangerous? I would guess the river is still filled with debris and lots of strainers, etc.
Gavin Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 James Bridge is was on PP, Patrick Bridge is on H just below Sunburst...still there but some damage, Hammond Bridge was on CC, Blair Bridge still there off of KK, Warren Bridge is on Bryant Creek off CR 328. Heard McKee bridge was still there...Seems the two of the three low water spans that needed to go remain (McKee, Patrick, & Warren) and the newer high spans got washed away. Guess the trees & debris went over the top of the low bridges, and beat the heck out of the columns & decking on the high spans. Would be very careful if floating, trees and debris all over the place. Pack light...and bring a chainsaw...you might need it.
Members Jeff_L Posted May 9, 2017 Members Posted May 9, 2017 Thanks. I can barely get this crew through a 2 day float alive with clean water. We typically camp on river, which means a fair amount of gear. Might limit to a one day float this year.
Members Jeff_L Posted May 9, 2017 Members Posted May 9, 2017 Are the gravel bars all gone, covered in mud or sand or debris?

Ozark Sweetwater Posted May 9, 2017 Posted May 9, 2017 Actually Warren Bridge might still be there but the approach is messed up. Patrick Bridge the approach has washed out but they were cutting all the trees off if it today. i don't think anyone has really been on the river to know exactly what islands and gravel bars are still there. There are definitely zero trees left on the islands or along the bank. Where the current was strong there's not much silt but there is some sand. Where the current was slower or where it formed back eddies, there is a lot of silt left. Lancer09 1 http://ozarksweetwater.com
