smbasser Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Plan on going back this weekend to fish, what is the condition on the water right now? Is it up and muddy or looking good? Thanks
Whodat Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Give me a few hours, Darrell and I are going this afternoon barring we don't get tornadoed out or flooded out!
Dutch Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Dingy but not muddy yesterday, whites were scattered and about 1/2 spawned out, crappie were around the stick ups but not bedding yet. We got double limits of both with some to spare. Good luck.
smbasser Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 is everyone still up around Taylor or are they starting to back out towards the Iron Bridge?
Whodat Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 smbasser, the river looks great but you better go up to the railroad bridge for fish! We fished at Taylor and caught 2 small walleye's and that was it. The two boats that floated down from 215 bridge had a limit of nice fish around the railroad bridge and that was it. Not another white all the way to Taylor. Good luck and I think it would be closer walking from 215.
smbasser Posted March 30, 2007 Author Posted March 30, 2007 How far upstream is the old fire bridge from taylor? I have been quite a ways upstream from Taylor but never seen another bridge. Could a guy sit in at the one lane bridge coming out of morrisville and float down to Taylor bridge? With the water level this year i expected them to run quite a ways. I mean how far up from taylor is the old railroad bridge? I only know of Taylor Bridge and the Old Iron bridge down from taylor.
Whodat Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 The guy's that floated the day we was there put in at 215 and floated to Taylor bridge. The old railroad bridge is about 1/4 mile down from 215. I have been there with my flat bottom but never walked it. Sounds like a hell of a walk from Taylor though.
