Members Softwormz Posted May 5, 2017 Members Posted May 5, 2017 Hey guys, me and a buddy are camping this weekend on the North side of the lake (Orleans Trail) and going to hit it pretty hard bass fishing with a little crappie fishing mixed in. Neither of us have fished this lake before so any tips from you pros out there it would be awesome, specially with the water up 10-15'. Thanks! Brad N Steph 1
Jmontgo1246 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 I plan to go this weekend and will be fishing the mainlake. I plan to start around the flooded bushes with sbait, crankbait, topwater and some flipping. If that doesn't work I will work the outside edges of the bushes with c-rig, shakyhead and the wobble head. If history repeats itself they should be in the bushes! Good luck!! I'm staying at Orleans Trail hotel...you see a white/teal Skeeter say hi.
Members freefallin Posted May 6, 2017 Members Posted May 6, 2017 I will be heading over to OTM as well but not sure if I will get out on the water as I have to de-install the old MotorGuide and install the new mondo heavy MotorGuide. The Avalanche is up on a lift so maybe it won't take all day. If I do get out on the water I will be in a white on white Avalanche throwing jigs, underspins and spinner baits. Here's to blue skies and tight lines. BOTH POLITICIANS AND DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON! Ronald Reagan
