Members NickIL Posted June 17, 2017 Members Posted June 17, 2017 Quick question for you. I have a '14 combo similar to yours and I am interested in adding a second trolling motor battery. On your boat, what is the battery configuration? In other words, where are the two deep cycle batteries located? It doesn't seem like there is room for a second battery in the vicinity of the current one. Thanks in advance.
navery Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 Mine were wired by the dealer at time of sale when they installed the bank charger so I never really looked how they are wired. Mine are located up in the front deck just in front of the windshield. There is not a bunch of extra room with the second battery, but they fit fine? They are great boats. I have caught a ton of fish out of this one, but need more room for the family now that my girls are getting big enough to go with. When I get this one sold I will probably get one of the Targa V20's.

There is just barely room for two 27 series batteries turned front to back with the cranking battery sideways in front them on my 08 175TXW. There is a dual battery tray that BPS sells that fits perfectly between the gas tank and the side of the boat I mounted the trolling batteries in. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
