Members JDoG Posted May 24, 2017 Members Posted May 24, 2017 Hey, I am looking for some new tacticts to use in this certain situation. My creek was stocked with trout a month ago (They're eating natural food now) and its the kind of creek with 10 foot cliffs with deep pockets on the outside of each turn, but shallow on the inside of each turn. What are some new ideas for fishing those deep pockets? I use a variety of spinners and crankbaits that the trout follow but never take. I also nymph.
jpb2187 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 If you are using spinning gear a white or gray or natural colored marabou jig can be pretty good. Just figure out the retrieve they want. Pop it off the bottom... twitch while reeling at different depths. You can try little grubs or trout worms as well.
