ramman123 Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 DO these really work and whats the catch ratio before u have to switch to a new minnow
rangerman Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Sometimes they "out fish live bait" other days not so much. Depends on the fishes mood..I have fished 4 inch gulp minnows half a day with a dozen or so fish with no problems. Again it depends on how well they are eating them.
ramman123 Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 where can i get them besides paying 10-20$ at Bass Pro
rangerman Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 I don't buy the buckets...just usuallynthe ten packs which I think are about 6 bucks, just about anywhere. For Stockton I would fish the 3 inchers on a 1/8 ounce head. The chartreuse pearl should kill it down there right now with the current water color. I think Wally World carries some colors.
rangerman Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 I agree..Vmc mooneye jigheads are top notch. Work great with crawlers as well as plastics. dan hufferd 1
Members Gary Stanton Posted June 20, 2017 Members Posted June 20, 2017 YES, they do work! I like the 3" Gulp minnow on a drop shot rig using a 1/4 or 1/8 ounce jig for the weight with a crawler. If the miss the jig/crawler the next thing they see is the GULP minnow. You never know which hook the fish is on. I buy the ten packs and vacuum seal any that are left after a trip. They last a LOT long when they are vacuum sealed. Stop by Scheels in Overland Park and I can show you which ones I prefer.
