Kicknbass Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Count me in. When is the due date? And how many? " Too many hobbies to work" - "Must work to eat and play"
DeepDiver75 Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 We are stopping the entry at 10 tyers and you will need to tie 2 flies per person for a total of 20 flies. As far as deadlines, I was hoping to get all tyers signed up before I set a deadline for sending them in. At this point with you on board we only need 3 more tyers and then we can discuss a timeline amongst those involved in the swap. I realize everyone has different responsibility's and available time so I am open to suggestions for an acceptable date for completion.
troutchaser Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I'm tying my arsenal for the April 21 benefit tourney on the Beaver Tailwater April 21. I could be finished tying by May 12 for sure. Paul Rone
troutchaser Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 (Bump) Here's my attempt at peer pressure to join the swap: All the cool people are doin' it. You want friends, don't ya? Once won't hurt. None of us are gonna tell. You know you want to. You might like it. Are ya chicken? C'mon guys, swap caddis patterns with us. It'll be fun! Paul Rone
Kansas Fly Fisher Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Rolan has agreed to photo the flies submitted to our swaps. See his and Dano's post on this subject. I suggest that we add a set for him if everyone is agreeable. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
jjtroutbum Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 no problem with that here His will have a special toe tag for added guality control. DeepDiver75 Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 If everyone is in agreement that already signed up then we'll add one more fly to each package and we'll send it Rolan's way. I suppose the easiest way to do this is for all of the flies to still come to me and I'll get one of each pattern back in the mail to Rolan for posting. Still need a few more tyers for this swap, let's see your favorite caddis pattern!!

The Caddis Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I think this is the fly I'm going to tie, it has a biot body and deer hair wing, size 14.

Ive been tying a few streamers recently but thats about it.... Oh-ho! Ancient Chinese secret! I will be using a Girdle bug - Yes, that's it - a #8 Girdle bug in Hot Pink. Actually, I have quite an arsenal. I've tied soft hackles in yellow, orange and green; Woollies in black, brown and olive; gray, tan and olive scuds; red black, dun and rust midges; some caddis; super-thick San Juan worms; pine cone squirrels; bead head bunny leaches; pheasant tail nymphs; and Patrick Lanford's infamous Sowpigs. I think that's it. Paul Rone
