Redfin - What Kind of "Mounting Tape" and Where

Read the very interesting topic below about Redfins and the suggestion about putting "mounting tape" on the head.

Can someone tell me what "mounting tape" is and where you buy it?

Also, how much do you put on the Redfin and where specifically do you stick it.

Good question. I just read the thread and had the same thought. I modify redfins by adding weight into the back. I would like to see others methods. Is this lead tape you guys are talking about?

Not sure where the prior post is, but I got the impression someone (SKMO maybe?) was using foam tape to float the head. Was looking for confirmation that this is the tape used to put up posters, etc. Bought some and will try it, although maybe not next week as it will probably be back to colder weather gear.

I have successfully used suspendots or strips to help weight the back half of the front section (just ahead of the joint). It seems to help.
