Ok John,

That sounds good. Hopefully the weather cooperates and is a somewhat cool at night.If we can get more people to camp out it will make it even better. I used to hate sleeping in a tent until I bought a Thermarest mat.That is some of the best money I have ever spent on outdoor gear. I have been staying at the super 8 when I stay there but, camping will save us some cash.

I'll probably get down to Bennett this weekend too if you are in the neighborhood.

I am goihg to try to go Tues-Thurs. I plan on pulling my pop-up camper. I will probably have a bed or two open in the the camper if anyone needs a spot. It has cool AC too if the weather is hot . I still have a lot to learn about fly fishing, and will gladly trade some cool AC for a tip or two . I will probably reserve a site next week. Cant wait to meet ya all.

I bought a thermarest just this year and it's GREAT! I don't know what I did without one. It's made tent camping fun all over again. Hopefully we can get a bunch of us to camp and continue the fun at night back at the camp site. Wish I could make it this weekend but I've got to work. I start a 48 hour shift at 8 p.m. tonight and won't get off until Saturday night. Have fun and catch a few for me.

that would probably work for me.....just another thought....the Ozark Fly Fishers are having an outing at Montauk on 8/17-8/19 and since I have never fished there, I made camping reservations. September works for me, just wanted to throw this out in case anyone is interested!

Has anyone made reservations at the park yet? Im getting ready to make reservations and wondered what loop people were planning to stay at. I have not ever been to Bennett and was wondering if anyone had preferences on campsites.

I usually stay at campsite 5. It's the "first come first serve" site. But in the middle of the week you shouldn't have any trouble getting a site. The reservable one's are nice, but 5 is IMO the best. More trees and such.
