Whites in Swan or Beaver

Has anyone had any luck for the white in Swan or Beaver from the shore this year. I am relatively new to "bass fishin'" as I do mostly trout with fly rod and very intersted in catching some whites.

Also, what are some good techniques and methods for whites with fly rod and spinning rod?

I hit Swan last Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Wed. and did not catch a thing. You can see them in there but I couldn't catch them and did not see anyone catching very much. People tell me to use clousers in chartuese and white or grey and white.
