Members Daze Off Posted April 6, 2007 Members Posted April 6, 2007 A small group of us (4 guys; 2 boats) just got back from spending a week fishing your wonderful lake and we want to express our gratitude for the help which this forum provided through the posts as well as some additional information from one of the members in particular. We are from Minnesota and can't fish for bass until the "season" opens around Memorial Day so we really needed to have a good time and your advice and experiences which you share so freely truly helped put us on some fish. The style of fishing is so different than the weeds we contend with all the time that I'm not sure we would have done nearly as well. We did not catch as many or as large of fish as we would have liked but we each caught enough to make it interesting. Two of us managed the proverbial "Grand Slam" and we did land a few over 5 pounds. We stayed at a great resort and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - although we could have done without the hail storm and the freezing temps on Weds. and Thurs. - it made it feel too much like home . We fished almost exclusively west of K-City and spent time in both the James and Kings arms. The best bait for us, by far, was the fluke style baits in shad colors. Anyway, thanks again and I'll continue to monitor this site and hope to return again next year with an even bigger group of fishermen. Daze Off
