Boy!  This summer has been a bust.  That's why I haven't reported much.

When August hit it became a grind.  Couldn't catch any quality fish up river.  When September hit, said the heck with it getting off this lake.

Been on the little lakes having some fun.  Better fishing and healthier fish.  God bless

I’ve sure enjoyed all your posts. Beaver is a tough lake. I wish I knew how to catch Beaver Lake Crappie on purpose...in numbers. You’ve figured it out. I used to change what species I was after about every time I went out. This year, decided to start learning walleye. I learned that I have a lot to learn. Crappie is my next target in which to humiliate myself...so I’ll be looking for your posts with great interest...keep ‘em coming.

Thanks guy...  I get on that lake again once the lake temp gets down in 60's.  Seen they've really been pouring the coals to it the past couple days.  Pulling it down.

All for it.  Catch them on their bellies in the mud 😄

These fish have all been caught in 9-10 fow 5-6ft down

Dad came down for BB&B (rode his cycle) and wanted to fish. At 82 I sure was going to take him. He only wants to troll so we put in at Blue Springs and went north all the way to War Eagle marina and back. Trolled flats, edges, points, and channels with everything I had. Bandits, Shad Raps, Hot N Tot, etc. in every color of the rainbow. Changed speeds. Only thing we caught were a few little largemouth. There was a lot of shad around. Looked like threadfin in the 1 1/2" size. Thought about throwing the cast net and drifting with them but didn't. One small cove we saw it come alive with shad being chased by something but I had just got hung up one something and by the time got it off and over their with some casting gear they were gone

On the plus side got to spend another fishing day with him and it was nice just being able to be outside and talk.

Great to hear y'all had a good visit out there.  Sucks that y'all couldn't get bit.

Yes pretty much my experience through that water since August.  I'll catch some but, dang they look wimpy. 😂

Haven't been able to figure it out this year down there so, got off and went else where.

Ready to turn the page on this summer.  Look forward to winter
