They are dredging the weeds out of the river this week, so expect the fishing to be a bit finicky for a while. I fished last night and it's a real challenge dodging the floating weeds and moss.

Fished this afternoon and the work was done. Still a lot of organics floating down the river but the fishing was terrific. A friend and I each caught about 30 fish in 2 hours.

I heard from my guide John Bishop, that the fishing was good, on Roaring River, his client caught over 30 fish this afternoon.

John has been guiding on Roaring River for sevearl years. He is a local on the river and knows what he is doing. He is a great teacher, he works great with kids and people that are just getting started. He and I have spent a lot of time on the river togeather, he is a very accomplished dry fly fisherma, we have been to the san juan many times. He is just a good ole boy filling a need here at the park. If you know someone needing a guide on Roaring River his # is 417-846-0010
