John Berry Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Tough weather! Rain, Hail, Lightning and Cold Temperatures. In spite of it, all caught fish. Fished Rim in the morning. The water was up a bit but we still managed to catch several. After lunch, we went to the Norfork and my clients caught some really nice fish including an eighteen inch rainbow and a twenty inch brown. We caught everything on the green butt. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 14, 2007 Root Admin Posted April 14, 2007 Green Butt is the fly you tied at the conclave- right?
John Berry Posted April 14, 2007 Author Posted April 14, 2007 Phil, I believe so. I can't remember what I had for breakfast much less what I did in October. I tied it at sowbug. Terry Beeson Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Hey John... Your opinions, please, on using other colors other than the bright green. I'm thinking of raiding my wife's embroidery thread collection. Some really kewl colors in there... I know a redass works and you have proven the green butt... what about blue, purple, yellow, etc.? TIGHT LINES, YA'LL "There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." - Paul O’Neil
John Berry Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 Yellow or orange might be interesting with the sulphurs coming next month. This does not constitute permission to raid your wife's embroidery thread collection.
