Rusty Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 It rained yesterday for about 14 hrs. Total amount for this area 0.46 inces. You would think we could have gotten at least a inch. Oh well, I'll be optimistic about this, something is better than nothing.
Wayne SW/MO Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 My gauge had 1.5 inches in it this morning. We needed every drop of it. If you look at the USGS map for the two states, you see a lot of red dots in NW AR and SW MO. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members Motor City Posted January 30, 2006 Members Posted January 30, 2006 It sure did rain here in NW Ark. yesterday. Nice and steady up until 5 in the afternoon. I figured I would sneak out, and have the river below Beaver all to myself. At first I did, and I was thouroghly enjoying the rain and solitude. I even caught a few fish. By the time my hat got wet enough to soak through, I looked up and saw two other couples out fishing. I guess they all had the same idea I did- get out and enjoy the river and have all the water to themselves!! Seems they were smarter than I, they all had their hoods up, while mine was down and my back got soaked. Anyhow, it seems all enjoyed the change of pace in the weather.
