Members wildminnow Posted April 20, 2007 Members Posted April 20, 2007 well i finally got out to do some fishing last night. Put in at river run and went down to the barker hole caught one walleye 16 inches on a blackhead minnow. Went up to the pot hole and caught a 22 inch walleye, fishing was slow so I trolled back down toward swan, and picked up 4 whites did this threee or four times and ended up with a nice limit of whites and my keeper walleye
Tightline Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Wow, thats great Wildminnow,I was down there yesterday mourning and didn't do any good from the bank on River Run side, but I did see a boat down stream from the dam fishing the ledges about where the big rock is at,and he was catching something on about every drift.Maybe we are going to have a late run, hope so. What were you trolling with if you don't mind me asking, and did you try up in Swan. The thing about Swan is it can have nothing in the mourning and then that evening can be packed with fish.People that don't live down there rely on reports and word of mouth.Glad to hear a good report.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 20, 2007 Root Admin Posted April 20, 2007 What were the size of the whites? Very nice to here they are there and being caught.
Members wildminnow Posted April 20, 2007 Author Members Posted April 20, 2007 I was using blackhead minnows and just drifting down to swan I did not even bother going up into swan since I was having decent sucess drifting down. Most of the whites were decent sized males, I think I ended up with 3 average size females.
