Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 13, 2005 Root Admin Share Posted November 13, 2005 I've always done better during the new moon phaze or any cloudy night... dark. But I have done fair with a moon but not very often. Any comments?
Leonard
I like any night... it really doesnt matter the moon phase with the right color.. but yes I perfer new moon... but the full moon can bring up the big ones.. but like I said... It all depends on the color!! http://www.taneycomonights.com

Leonard
the color of the fly you use.... most people swear by by olive or black at night..no matter the moon phase I myself... like to use black when then the moon is full and bright... just after the full full moon 1/4 to 1/2 moon... olive 1/2 moon the new moon white... white is the color I have the most faith in... I will most likely (no matter the phase) start with a white (or sometime gray) woolly or pine squirrel sculpin.. just to add... I always throw a 6lb line at night (Maxima).. http://www.taneycomonights.com
