techo Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Partner and I went out today and I just got back. I am not sure how many we caught but it was in the lots to holy cow range. We caught almost all of them in 18 feet of water and on points. Nothing huge though, but quite a few keepers. We caught most of them on fish doctors and grubs. It didn't matter what color grub. I even used a silver and gold grub with gold flecks. Caught four or five with that one. It was fairly windy and I threw a spinner for a bit, but I didn't get anything on it. It didn't matter how fast or slow the retrieval. I am starting to think you need sun and wind for a spinner to be very effective. I used my new rain bibs, even though it only rained a few seconds. I wasn't cold or wet at all. My partner whined a bit though. A totally awesome day. Oh yeah... I put in at Kimberling. Water temp abour from 59 to 62.1 Tim Carpenter

Members Joe G Posted April 28, 2007 Members Posted April 28, 2007 Lefty, go to www.basspro.com, and on the search type in "fish doctor" without the quotiation marks. Fairly rigid worm, 4" long, and they are fished on the bottom carolina or jig rigged.
Members 713lefty Posted May 1, 2007 Members Posted May 1, 2007 Thanks! It took a while to respond due to ongoing computer problems.
