Chad and I went out today on the White to try out a new Hyde drift boat. The weather wasnt great,a bit windy and cool ,but the fishing made up for it.We caught a pile of fish, and the average size was larger than we have been catchin. We had several bows in the 16 and 17 inch range, and our two biggest browns were 20 and 21 inches. The 21 inch was a male shaped like a football. We used soft hackles, elk hair caddis, caddis pupae, and beadhead midge patterns. It was a great day.

Hey Phil,

I caught mine on a size 16 midge pattern, little more than a bead and some thread. It was a brown thread, black wire and a copper tungsten bead.simple to tie.Chad caught his beautiful male on a caddis pupae, kind of gray in color. The cool thing was he called his shot.He said,"hey moose ,there's got to be a big brown behind that rock." he wades over ,makes the cast and Boom, hes hooked up and the brown does some arobatics for us. You know what they say,"better lucky than good!

Tight lines to you all,

Moose
