Apparentlly none of you guys listen to Rush Limbaugh's the smartest man in the world. If you did you would already know that IT WAS BILL CLINTON'S FAULT!

He was the Govenor of Arkansas and if he would have had some insight this could have been prevented.

Now I think we have all of the bases covered.

Thom,

First off, we must determine if the fish was female before we can blame Clinton...

Next, we left one out... terrorists... Maybe the folks at TRD put something in the water to take out the "imperialistic great brown trout satans" and then moved down to BSD...

Then again... Has MrDucky been down there eating chili dogs?

Terry, I can always count on you to make my day. I'm sitting here at my puter and laughing out loud on that one. Hope no one is watching...they might think I'm reading the St.Louis Post Dispatch editorial page.

First off, on a serious note, that fish did not look like a healthy trout to me...it did look chubby, and most trout do not live to be that size, so I really think the old age had more to do with it. If not, and fish are dying around this resort, then maybe they should check where there garbage is dumped, sewage pipes, etc. Maybe there's a leak, or a raccoon rearranging the garbage. (I am NOT blaming the resort! I think it's the age. It's just a secondary theory. Kind of like if there is always a mess around your dog, he probably did something he shouldn't have!)

Second, on a less serious note, how close was this to the charity tournament? Maybe it wasn't Mr. Ducky...you know, I understand it was Ronnie with a hole in his waders...if he blew them out, well, imagine what that could do to the poor fishies!

I can bring home the trout...fry it up in a pan...and never let you forget I caught it! 'Cause I'm a woman!

Hey Guys,I was going to keep this under my hat,but I cant stand it anymore. Please forgive me, but I caught that huge fish on 2.5 lb test a few days ago and fought it for 7.3 hours well into the night. After reviving it for 30 seconds, since I had no witnesses or cameras,I returned it to the water to be caught another day. That huge fish is mine!Thats my story and Im going to try to stick to it.Oh I nearly forgot,It spooled me 3 times or was it 4,I cant remember cause it was dark.

MrsD... With all the stuff that is found in the runoff from around Bull Shoals Lake and along the tailwaters, one sewer pipe and a garbage disposal won't add that much... (only half kiddin'... you DO have a point...)

Now, with Ronnie, John, and me on the water "releasing toxic fumes" you might want to watch for a BIG fish kill...

People have always not wanted to be downstream of pollutants/polluters but now with the advent of breathable waders one needs to also consider who is standing up wind...:lol:

I think Mrs. Ducky nailed it: <that fish did not look like a healthy trout to me...it did look chubby>

It should be obvious to sophisticated fisherpeople such as present company that the fish died of ODing on McStocker 'Rainbow Delight'. A clear case of 'suicide by fork'----or something of that nature.

For a less tongue-in-cheek opinion see my post on the thread following the article. I suppose I'm 'outing' myself here, but it is the post by 'Tom @ Buzzard Bluff'.

Amazing, 68 degree water in April, I have been there at low water in August and it was nut cold. I think they should check for gig marks or gunshot wounds. Maybe it caught a glimpse of one of the local "beached whales" sunnin to get a tan, got blinded, ran into a stump, and passed away from the experience.

Was it whirling when it died? Maybe someone out west brought the dreaded disease here.
