Pictures? I guess you mean of the flies? I don't think I've ever tried to post pics on this site. I'll may give it a try although my digital camera is only middling quality.

The shooting and skinning or plucking seems like a hassle to me too. I'm not a hunter either. I think I'll continue to buy.

I do mean the flies. Soft hackles are something I've been struggling w/ (mainly because I can't get the right materials, I think. I has nothing to do w/ my skills ;-) ).

If you are a bird hunter or have a friend who hunts upland game try Quail, Woodcock and Snipe. They all have great soft-hackles and in smaller sizes as well.

i tried that with a pheasant skin about a year ago with some less than desirable results. it must've taken me a week to get the smell out of the room. i guess i'll have to see it done before i'm willing to try it again.

Cute animals taste better.
