CMAC Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 SKMO, good job, fished in Baxter on Sunday, found several bedders, several cruiser, but really thought the c-rig and Split shot bit were tough. take care.
SKMO Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 J.E. - Shoulder is not so fine. Am going in Wed for arthroscopic surg to fix torn rotator cuff and torn labrum. CMAC - I thought the plastic bite was tough too as I went a couple hours and lots of gravel dragging with Zero and was just about ready to head in and do honey-do's when I finally found some fish. I think key was finding the threadfin. They were really bunched up in this little gravel pocket and I had some fast action until they quit which they did abruptly sometime after 10am. CMAC Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 SKMO: Won't be long the drop shot will be in full force, sounds like it is already beginning in some areas. I will be trying it more this week.

Hope this isn't on your casting side. Be lookin' for you when you can get back out. Sounds like the critters have gone into the post spawn "funk" ? The upcoming weekend will probably keep them there. Guess I'll haul out the flyrod and see if I can find some bluegill to tease.
