Don Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Way to go Rusty. Great pics and good memories. I had the opportunity to fish with one of my daughters at RR earlier this year. We didn't catch alot of fish but it was one of my best trips this year. Don Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Steve Smith Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Those are great pictures. My grandkids backed out at the last minute so I didn't make the Kid's day in the park. I think there is another one in August or so. ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
Danoinark Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Rusty Great pics...and I knew it was the featherlight soon as I saw it. Can't mistake that yellow blank..and so glad you got out with her and it was a successful day. That rod is great for kids starting out. Bet she is hooked now. mhall02 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Holy cow, I don't see another soul in that picture, looks like she had the hole to herself. I took my daughter to Meramec Spring Saturday for the kids day, it was a zoo, elbow to elbow kids. Like opening day scene at the whistle, only all day long. We finally got into a good spot around 230 or 300 p.m. and she got her limit in about 25 minutes, but it was crazy. I would like to take to her RR one day, I grew up around Monett and fished there for years. Yep, my first 'good' fly rod was a 7' six wt. Eagle Claw just like in the photo, bought it when I was around 14 or 15, those things are great.
Danoinark Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 mhall. We have been waxing nostalgia with those Eagle Claws. I have the 6'6" and the 7'. They are readily available and sure fun to fish. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Rusty Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 Notice the two front teeth missing. She lost one four months ago. I made the comment, that if she lost the other one too, she would miss out on this years corn on the cob. The other tooth should have been pulled a month ago, but she was determined not to lose it. Little brother pushed her into the sofa arm while they were wrestling, and guess what...Out it popped. She cried not because it hurt, but because she is going to miss out on the corn. KFF, We had a great time except for two encounters from the same group. Would have liked to met you, maybe next time, or we can get togther and fish one of these days. I did meet a fella from Pittsburg yesterday. His daughter and mine hit it off, and the fishing was soon forgotten. On the way home though she asked when we were going back.
trout fanatic Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Brought a smile to my face. Thanks for posting. Great pics!!
WebFreeman Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Rusty, what kind of reel did you put on in it? I thought about getting myself on for father's day for the kids/wife to use, if I could ever get them to go. “Many go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.” — Henry David Thoreau Visit my web site @ webfreeman.com for information on freelance web design.

It is a great combination. Brought a smile to my face. Thanks for posting. Great pics!! Your welcome. I can't wait to do it again.

I'll be taking my granddaughter back several times this year so hopefully we can meet up. John Born to Fish, Forced to Work KSMEDIC.COM
